Katie and Alec’s Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center Wedding

Katie and Alec’s Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center Wedding was nothing short of elegant, incredible and EPIC. Their day was the perfect mix of classic and fun that left the guests raving, from the stunning florals and the gorgeous gown to the surprise father daughter dance and late night burger bar!

The day started with Katie and her bridesmaids getting ready in the on-site salon within the Marriott with their very talented beauty team, Beauty Therapy, Inc. The bubbly and laughter were definitely flowing and the room was filled with excitement. They looked adorable with their matching robes and tumblers! After greeting them, we headed to capture their stunning detail photos! Before long Alec and his groomsmen arrived and it was time to really get the day started. While the girls finished up in the salon, Alec and his groomsmen got into their dapper black tuxes and enjoyed the morning chatting and enjoying some drinks.

While the groomsmen relaxed, the bridesmaids got dressed and waited outside of Katie’s suite in anticipation to share a sweet first look of Katie, in her gorgeous gown, looking like a bride! She also shared a touching first look with her father, and the tears began to flow. My personal favorite part was the unbelievable bridal portraits we were able to capture in her suite before whisking her off to share yet another first look, but this time with Alec!

With a floor to ceiling view of the lake, and historic buildings surrounding the hotel, Katie and Alec shared an emotional first look filled with so much joy and excitement. Alec was truly blown away by how beautiful Katie looked and he was sure to let her know. After their first look, the hustle began. They boarded the party bus with their bridal party and we headed to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens to capture some GORGEOUS images! The ride to and from the gardens was a party in and of itself! Their group was so excited to see these two become husband and wife.

When we arrived back to the hotel, it was time to capture the gorgeous ceremony details and then the music began. Family and bridal party made their way down the aisle and the doors closed behind them. When they reopened, there stood Katie, crying joy filled tears as she proceeded down the aisle! Their ceremony was full of love and touching moments. This included a ring warming ceremony in which their wedding rings, placed in a custom bag were passed to each guest to pray and speak blessing of love over. There were very few dry eyes among the guests.

After the ceremony, it was finally time to party! Everything about their reception was complete perfection. The stunning florals by Plantscaping and Blooms, custom dance floor designed by Jayna with Kirkbrides, and beautiful backdrop made the perfect setting for an epic celebration. Katie and Alec’s reception included cutting a gorgeous cake, sharing a sweet first dance, a father daughter dance that started slow and had the guests cheering when it came with a twist, glow wands and a late night burger bar. These two had it all!
